How much does the Weightloss Program cost?

We make every effort to keep your costs as low as possible and provide the best care possible. When evaluating the cost of the program, you need to consider the following factors: your current and future physical and monetary costs resulting from weight related problems; the savings accumulated by reducing or eliminating drug costs or co-pays as some underlying medical diseases are improved or eliminated by weight reduction, (A number of our patients have stopped insulin and other medicine for diabetes, hypertension, and esophageal reflux); and the cost of snack and frivolous eating habits. None of these costs compare to the cost of improved physical and mental health and adding potential years of life expectancy.

Although we do not participate with medical insurers, we will provide you with a "super bill" that can be submitted for reimbursement.  Many insurers will not cover specific treatment of weight disorders; in spite of the fact that over $100 billion is spent every year treating its consequences. Most insurers will provide reimbursement for your tests and EKG. Our program may qualify as a medical expense if you have a Medical Health Savings Account. We have also found some employers will cover our program as part of a corporate wellness activity. The IRS also allows weight treatment as a tax-deductible expense.   (IRS ruling 2002-19 more info at http://www.obesity.org/subs/tax/taxguide.shtml.)

We also participate with Care Credit for interest free financing.  Although we do not require a long-term contract, success will only be achieved with long-term treatment.  With a minimum $300 charge on Care Credit you can get up to 12 months interest fee.
